Salem Regional Medical Center is seeking a full-time RN for the Float Pool. The role will work across Tower 2/Med Surg, Tower 1/ICU, and ED with a 0.9 FTE shift from 7am to 7:30pm and every third weekend, including major holidays.
The RN will coordinate and direct patient care, applying the nursing process to diverse patient populations while collaborating with the care team to adjust plans as needed. Requirements include an Ohio RN license and current BLS/ACLS with EKG interpretation.

PURPOSE
The RN is responsible for coordinating and directing the delivery of competent patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. In caring for a patient population which may include the newborn, toddler, adolescent, adult, and the elderly, the RN identifies the special needs of the patient’s age group and respective level of growth and development, and plans the care accordingly. The RN directs the implementation of the Plan of Care through performance and/or coordination of the activities of other members of the health care team. NCP/SOC, Clinical Pathways, Departmental Policies and Procedures are used as the basis to prescribe nursing intervention. The RN is responsible for the evaluation of nursing care given to all patients. The RN revises the plan of care according to the needs of the patient and appropriately implements changes as necessary.
