Job summary

Corewell Health in Big Rapids is seeking a dedicated RN to join our Float Pool. This role delivers nursing care across Med Surg, ICU, ED, and OB with cross-training opportunities and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external hires who commit to the float pool.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years in Michigan.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure is required.
• AHA or ARC BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care responsibly and accountably per ANA and Michigan state standards.
• Demonstrate competency through the nursing process across assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Uphold ANA professional standards including ethics, communication, leadership and education.

Corewell Health is investing in our Community Hospital Float Pool team. This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external hires. Bonus eligibility requires a two-year commitment to the float pool role and is subject to Corewell Health's sign-on bonus terms and conditions.

About the unit: A Float position gives you the opportunity to cross train to Med Surg, ICU, Emergency Departments, and OB. Float offers an opportunity to learn a broader skill set and enhance your skills by working in these departments. There also is a pay incentive for working Float.

Scope of work

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
