Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Wilkes-Barre seeks an Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and supervise care on the inpatient unit, coordinating with the care team and planning discharges. The role includes patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization and community resource access.

The RN will operate under nursing leadership, with ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses and ACLS certification expected within 90 days for others. BLS must be current.

Qualifications

• Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to deliver, direct and supervise care to patients admitted to the unit.
• Plans, coordinates, and provides patient care including interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
• Provides patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization and accessing community resources.
