Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join a collaborative surgical team. You will work closely with surgeons to provide perioperative care, using advanced clinical skills to support patients before, during, and after surgery.

This full-time role requires CNOR and RN-First Assistant training within a year, MO RN licensure, and a strong perioperative nursing background.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum perioperative nursing experience.
• CNOR and RN-First Assistant class required within one year of hire/transfer; BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information.
