Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join a collaborative surgical team. You’ll work side-by-side with surgeons to provide perioperative care, using advanced clinical skills to support patients before, during, and after surgery.

This full-time role requires CNOR and RN-First Assistant training within one year, active MO RN licensure, and perioperative nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum perioperative nursing experience.
• CNOR and RN-First Assistant class required within one year of hire/transfer.
• BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• Demonstrates continued competence in assisting and in perioperative nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative care alongside surgeons to support patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Coordinate patient care with the surgical team and other departments.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of information.
• Ensure adherence to Mercy Service Standards and mission-driven care.
