Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join a collaborative surgical team. In this role, you’ll work side-by-side with surgeons to provide perioperative care, from pre‑op assessment through post‑operative recovery, ensuring high standards of patient safety.

The RNFA will support complex cases in the OR, demonstrate leadership in the perioperative setting, and maintain compliance with CNOR, BLS/ACLS, and state licensure

Qualifications

• Must have minimum perioperative nursing experience.
• CNOR and RN-First Assistant class required within one year of hire/transfer.
• BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons as RNFA in perioperative care.
• Provide perioperative nursing support before, during, and after surgery.
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure high standards of care.
