Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a skilled RN First Assistant to deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care across the OR and related areas. The role requires a nursing degree, Georgia RN licensure, and CNOR certification.

Completion of an AORN RN First Assistant program with didactic and clinical components is required; two years perioperative RN or RNFA experience is preferred, with CVOR experience ideal.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, which includes didactic and clinical components.
• Two years perioperative RN or RNFA experience. If working in the CVOR, minimum experience of three years as an RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR.
• CNOR certification and BLS certification.
• Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC Multistate License; preferred RN First Assistant certification (CRNFA) and ACLS/PALS.

Responsibilities

• Provide RN first assistant during operative procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum.
• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and related areas.
• May function as RN circulator as needed.
