Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced RN First Assistant to provide perioperative support across the OR and related perioperative areas. You will function as an RN first assistant during operative procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum in accordance with scope of practice, credentials, privileges and competency verification.

The role requires RN licensure in Georgia and completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, with CNOR and BLS certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing with active RN licensure in Georgia.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program (didactic and clinical components).

Responsibilities

• Serve as an RN First Assistant during operative and invasive procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum.
• Occasionally act as an RN circulator, delivering safe, effective, quality patient-family centered care in the OR.
