Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced RN First Assistant to join its perioperative team. In this role you will support the surgeon as a first assistant, perform circulator duties as needed, and contribute to safe, patient-family centered care during operative procedures.

Requirements include graduation from a nursing program, completion of AORN RN First Assistant, and current Georgia RN licensure with CNOR/CRNFA credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, which includes didactic and clinical components.
• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience.
• 3 years minimum experience as an RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR if working in the CVOR.
• Active Georgia RN license or multi-state license (NLC/eNCL).
• CNOR, CRNFA, BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe, effective perioperative patient care in the OR and perioperative areas.
• Act as RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures.
• Occasionally perform RN circulator duties as needed.
