Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced RN for the NT6 Observation unit. The 43-bed unit delivers acute care with a 24–48 hour patient stay, maintaining a 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio. You will work with physicians and the care team in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications include RN license on hire, BLS within 30 days, and a Nursing Diploma. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for external applicants committing to 3 years.

Qualifications

• RN with >1 year of experience on an acute care unit
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• RN license required upon hire
• Nursing diploma required

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessment upon patient admission and develop care plan
• Implement and modify plan of care and nursing interventions
• Document nursing care accurately and ensure safety
• Assess IV sites every 4 hours and start new IVs per policy
• Attend required staff meetings and participate in unit quality initiatives
