Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced RN for the NT6 Observation unit. The unit features a 43-bed capacity, with a 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio, and a fast-paced, team-oriented environment aligned with patient care goals of 24–48 hour stays.

Qualifications include an RN license at hire, a nursing diploma, and BLS within 30 days. Responsibilities cover assessments, care planning, and collaboration with physicians and staff to ensure safe, effective care.

Qualifications

• RN with more than 1 year of experience on an Observation unit.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• RN license must be active upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care and plans of care.
• Starts new IVs and assesses IV sites regularly per policy.
• Ensures patient and employee safety and communicates to resolve issues.
