Job summary

Premise Health in Newark, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide care for United Airlines employees at our on-site Health Center. The role features an alternating weekend schedule with shifts across mornings and evenings, plus weekday evening coverage.

You will conduct nursing evaluations, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians. The ideal candidate holds a nursing degree, an active RN license, and BLS certification; ACLS may be required depending on the site contract.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of practice is required.
• Certificate or AS in Nursing is required or BSN preferred.
• Hands-on BLS training; ACLS may be required per contract scope.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations and provides treatment within scope of practice.
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed.
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice.
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains patient health records for accuracy and currency.
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Registered Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees of United Airlinesin our Health Center located in Newark, NJ.

Schedule

• Alternating Weekend Schedule
• Sat & Sun Coverage Between 6:00 am - 8:00 pm
  • Shifts 6:00 am - 8:00 pm OR11:30 am - 8:00 pm
• Additional Weekday Evening Coverage Between 11:00 am - 8:00 pm

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $38.40 - $49.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
