Job summary

Premise Health in Elko, NV is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care to client employees and their dependents at our Elko Health Center. The work schedule features rotating 4x10 shifts from 8am to 7pm (Mon-Thu and Tue-Fri), plus one weekend per month (8am-2pm on Sat and Sun).

You’ll assess care needs, perform nursing evaluations, collaborate with physicians, administer medications, document tests, and maintain records.

Qualifications

• Nursing certificate or AS required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS/ACLS certification required; ACLS may be required per contract.
• COHN/COHN-S preferred and may be required.
• Minimum 3 years RN experience in ER or occupational health.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs, perform nursing evaluations, and provide treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians for further medical evaluation and care.
• Perform and document tests such as EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision.
• Administer medications and emergency care within scope.
• Maintain equipment, ensure a clean and safe environment, and follow infection control.
• Maintain patient health records and ensure accuracy.
• Educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Registered Nurse (RN), you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Elko, NV. The work schedule will include rotating 4x10 shifts of 8am-7pm (Monday-Thursday and Tuesday-Friday). The schedule will also include 1 weekend per month of 8am-2pm Saturday & Sunday. Enjoy longer weekends!

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $30.40 - $38.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
