Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to care for United Airlines employees at our Health Center in Newark, NJ. The role covers weekend and weekday evening shifts, with flexible scheduling and on-site parking.

You will perform nursing assessments, administer meds, order and interpret tests, and work with physicians to provide high-quality care in a dynamic environment with airline staff.

Qualifications

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice (NJ) required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required depending on contract scope.
• COHN/COHN-S or Emergency Nursing/Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites.
• Minimum three years of RN experience in emergency room, occupational health or ambulatory care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs, conduct nursing evaluations and provide treatment within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare practitioners for further evaluation and care as needed.
• Perform and document medical tests, screenings and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Administer medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice.
• Maintain equipment, ensure a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures.
• Maintain patient health records and educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care.

As a Registered Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees of United Airlinesin our Health Center located in Newark, NJ.

Schedule

• Sat & Sun Coverage Between 6:00 am - 8:00 pm
  • Shifts 6:00 am - 8:00 pm OR11:30 am - 8:00 pm
• Additional Weekday Evening Coverage Between 11:00 am - 8:00 pm

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
