Premise Health in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, employee-focused care at our Health Center. The position offers a consistent part-time schedule of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with no nights or weekends.

The RN will assess and treat workers, coordinate case management, maintain records, and promote health in a workplace setting, while upholding infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or AS required; BSN preferred.
• CT RN license currently active.
• COHN/COHN-S or Case Management certification preferred.
• BLS/ACLS certification required or may be required by site.
• 3+ years RN experience in occupational health or related setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, employee-focused care to clinic patients.
• Evaluate and treat patients within scope of practice; coordinate case management.
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure infection control procedures.
• Deliver patient education on wellness and preventive care.

As a Part-Time Registered Nurse,you’ll provide high-quality, employee-focused care to client employees at our Health Center in Windsor Locks, CT. This is a great opportunity for an experienced RN who enjoys building relationships, promoting wellness, and providing personalized care in a workplace health setting. The position offers a consistent part-time schedule of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with no nights or weekends.

What You’ll Do

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
• Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
• Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
• Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
• Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
• Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $38.40 - $48.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
