Job summary

Lemont Nursing and Rehab is seeking an experienced RN Manager to supervise daily nursing activities and ensure high standards of resident care. This role manages staff, coordinates care plans, and enforces federal, state, and local regulations.

The RN Unit Manager will assign tasks, monitor rounds, and help implement policies while maintaining a patient-focused environment with strong leadership and teamwork.

Qualifications

• RN Manager role requires a Nursing Degree or Diploma.
• Current RN license to practice in the state.
• Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in Long-Term Care and MDS preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care within the facility.
• Make frequent rounds to assess resident conditions and ensure staff performance.
• Ensure medication rooms and carts are secured.
• Monitor supplies and place orders as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and surveys.
• Assist the Director of Nursing in implementing policies and procedures.
• Ensure infection control, safety, and emergency protocols.
• Facilitate communication between shifts for continuity of care.
• Oversee resident admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Monitor daily resident health status and respond to changes.
• Ensure direct nursing care is provided by qualified personnel.
• Conduct shift meetings and provide staff training as needed.
• Participate in marketing and community outreach events.

RN Manager Requirements:

• Nursing Degree or Diploma from an accredited college or university
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License to practice in the state
• Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred
• Experience in Long-Term Care and MDS preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Professional and welcoming demeanor for customer service interactions
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA compliance
