Job summary

Lemont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced RN Manager to supervise daily nursing activities and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. You will oversee staff, implement care plans, monitor resident health, and coordinate with the DON to maintain high standards of resident care.

The role requires strong leadership, RN licensure, and experience in long-term care, with opportunities for professional development and engagement in community outreach.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care within the facility

• Assist DON in implementing policies and procedures
• Ensure infection control and safety protocols
• Facilitate shift communication for continuity of care
• Oversee admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Monitor resident health status daily and respond to changes

We are seeking dedicated RN Managers to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility. The RN Unit Manager is responsible for assigning nursing tasks, implementing care plans, and evaluating resident health needs.

RN Manager Requirements:

• Nursing Degree or Diploma from an accredited college or university
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License to practice in the state
• Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred
• Experience in Long-Term Care and MDS preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Professional and welcoming demeanor for customer service interactions
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems

As a Skilled, Compassionate RN Manager, You Will:

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care within the facility
• Make frequent rounds to assess resident conditions and ensure nursing personnel are performing their duties
• Ensure that medication rooms and carts are properly secured
• Monitor supplies and order as needed
• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and facility surveys
• Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in implementing policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and emergency protocols
• Facilitate communication between shifts to maintain continuity of care
• Oversee resident admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Monitor resident health status daily and respond to changes accordingly
• Ensure that direct nursing care is provided by qualified personnel
• Conduct shift meetings and provide staff training as needed
• Participate in marketing and community outreach events
