Job summary

Advocate Health's EMS Resource Center is seeking a Registered Nurse – EMS Educator to coordinate the Hospital Emergency Medical Services System. This part-time role is 12 hours per week with varied schedules.

You will lead EMS education for ED staff and outreach, travel to hospitals and fire departments, and collaborate with ED teams. Requirements include IL RN license (BSN preferred), 2–3 years ER experience, CPR/ACLS, ECRN/TNCC, and strong presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current IL RN license.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with agreement for BSN completion.
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience in emergency nursing desirable.
• Current AHA CPR and ACLS.
• Current ECRN and TNCC.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EMS education and EMS System activities.
• Deliver EMS education to ED staff and outreach participants.
• Travel to hospitals and area fire departments for classes and meetings.
• Foster collaboration among ED staff and EMS teams.
