Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department in Salem, VA. This full-time position offers nights, days, mixed, and evenings with rotating weekends and long-term potential.

The ideal candidate holds a nursing diploma or associate degree, active Virginia RN licensure, BLS, and up to 1 year ER experience. BSN preferred, with on-site, healthcare setting exposure and a focus on quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate Degree from a professional nursing program (required).
• BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program (preferred).
• Current RN licensure in Virginia or multi-state compact with VA eligibility (required).
• American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider (required).
• 1 year of RN ER in an acute care setting may be considered.
• Med Surg cross-training considered for nights shift only.

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess and treat patients of all ages in the Emergency Department.
• Manage multiple cases and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Collaborate with patients, families and healthcare team for follow-up care and referrals.
• Document effectively and timely according to organizational policy.
• Coordinate with physicians and hospital departments while maintaining safety and patient focus.

Immediate need for a talented RN Emergency Room. This is a Fulltime opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Salem, VA(Onsite).

Pay Range: $32.33 - $40.41/hr. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities

• Shift: Full-time Nights, Days, Mixed, Evenings (Rotating Weekends)
• As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will triage, assess and treat patients of all ages.
• You will manage multiple cases simultaneously providing general nursing care and prioritizing needs based on acuity levels across the unit continually.
• You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.
• In order to provide a great experience, you will collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate an effective follow-up plan of care and necessary referrals.
• As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will document effectively, succinctly, and timely according to organizational policy.
• You will coordinate functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital, while being patient focused and safety aware at all times.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience

• Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required)
• BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)
• Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
• Will consider 1 yr of RN ER in an acute care setting
• Will consider a med Surg candidates to cross train ONLY FOR NIGHTS SHIFT
