Job summary

TalentBurst is recruiting an RN ER traveler for the Salem, VA ED. The role is an onsite contract delivering 12-hour day shifts, 3 days a week, for 13 weeks with a weekly total compensation around $1,930 including stipends and base pay.

Must have completed 2–3 travel assignments and 2–3 years of ER experience. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and PALS; TNCC/ENPC/NRP/NIH are preferred. No on-call, four weekend shifts in a four-week cycle.

GENERAL INFORMATION

UNIT SPECIFICS:

• Number of Beds: 27

• Number of Staff: 50 RN / 25 Medics

• Patient Ratios: 4–6:1

• Documentation System: Meditech

• Type of Equipment: -

UNIT STAFFING:

• Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 RNs, 2–3 Medics

  • Additional 4–5 RNs at 11:00 AM

  • Additional 1–2 RNs at 3:00 PM

• Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 RNs, 2–3 Medics

TYPICAL HIRING PROFILE

MUST HAVE:

• Completed 2–3 travel assignments

• 2–3 years of ER experience

PREFERRED / NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience in high-acuity, fast-paced, high-volume ERs

• Experience managing patient ratios of 5:1

• Care of psychiatric patients
