Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department in Salem, VA. This full-time position offers nights, days, mixed, and evenings with rotating weekends and long-term potential.

The ideal candidate holds a nursing diploma or associate degree, active Virginia RN licensure, BLS, and up to 1 year ER experience. BSN preferred, with on-site, healthcare setting exposure and a focus on quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate Degree from a professional nursing program (required).
• BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program (preferred).
• Current RN licensure in Virginia or multi-state compact with VA eligibility (required).
• American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider (required).
• 1 year of RN ER in an acute care setting may be considered.
• Med Surg cross-training considered for nights shift only.

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess and treat patients of all ages in the Emergency Department.
• Manage multiple cases and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Collaborate with patients, families and healthcare team for follow-up care and referrals.
• Document effectively and timely according to organizational policy.
• Coordinate with physicians and hospital departments while maintaining safety and patient focus.
