Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is assisting with an immediate need for an RN in our Emergency Department in Salem, VA. This full-time role offers long-term potential, a supportive team, and hands-on patient care across all ages in an onsite setting.

You will triage, assess, and treat patients, document promptly per policy, and coordinate with physicians and other departments to deliver safe, effective follow-up care.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associates Degree in nursing required.
• Current Virginia RN license or multi-state compact with VA eligibility.
• BLS Health Care Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

Job description

Immediate need for a talented RN Emergency Room. This is a Fulltime opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Salem, VA(Onsite).

Pay Range: $32.33 - $40.41/hr. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will triage, assess and treat patients of all ages.
• You will manage multiple cases simultaneously providing general nursing care and prioritizing needs based on acuity levels across the unit continually.
• You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.
• In order to provide a great experience, you will collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate an effective follow-up plan of care and necessary referrals.
• As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will document effectively, succinctly, and timely according to organizational policy.
• You will coordinate functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital, while being patient focused and safety aware at all times.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required)
• BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)
• Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
• Will consider 1 yr of RN ER in an acute care setting
• Will consider a med Surg candidates to cross train ONLY FOR NIGHTS SHIFT
