Job summary

North Carolina Baptist Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process across units. You will collaborate with the care team, participate in quality and safety initiatives, and uphold professional standards while maintaining accurate EHR documentation.

The role requires BLS certification, an active RN license, and 1 year of clinical nursing experience (2 years preferred).

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where care is provided; NC license/compact as applicable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience; 2 years of service line experience preferred.
• Licensure for telehealth/virtual modalities may be required per site.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes and takes action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution, fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics and ensures unbiased patient care across disciplines.
• Delegates appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units/departments/facilities within the service area as needed.
• Provides age-appropriate nursing care per department policies and procedures.
