Job summary

Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience with a Board-approved nursing education program is expected, along with a valid RN license and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active registered nurse (RN) license with privileges to practice where RN provides services.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be needed by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care using evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care while engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and maintains patient safety standards.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation across shifts.
• May float to other units within the service area to meet patient care needs.
