Job summary

Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies is seeking a Professional Development Practitioner (RN) to lead staff education, coordinate onboarding, and advance clinical practice across women’s health services in Orlando, FL. The role partners with department leadership to drive competency, quality and patient outcomes.

The RN educator will design evidence-based curricula, mentor staff, and participate in quality and safety initiatives while supporting lifelong learning and career

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida.
• National specialty certification must be obtained within two years of hire.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certification as required by department or unit.

Responsibilities

• Conducts ongoing needs assessments and formulates educational plans based on data collected.
• Develops and coordinates the orientation process for assigned areas and maintains Education Action Plans.
• Implements educational programs to enhance competence and skills of nursing staff using innovative teaching methods.
• Develops evidence-based curricula aligned with ANPD standards for diverse teams.
• Maintains records of educational programs, assessments and evaluations per regulatory standards.
