Job summary

Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies seeks a Professional Development Practitioner (RN) to lead staff education, ensure clinical competency, and support lifelong learning within the Antepartum Special Care Learning Specialist team.

The role emphasizes collaboration with department leadership, development of curricula, and evaluation of learning outcomes to improve patient care in a high-volume obstetric setting. Strong nursing leadership and obstetric experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in Florida.
• National specialty certification in area of practice must be obtained within two years of hire.
• Three (3) years of related clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts ongoing needs assessments and formulates educational plans based on data collected.
• Develops and coordinates the orientation process for assigned areas.
• Actively participates in quality and safety initiatives.
• Implements educational programs to enhance the competence and skills of nursing staff.
• Develops evidence-based curricula in accordance with ANPD standards and departmental needs.
