Job summary

Vitruvian Health in Tennessee seeks an ER Nurse to deliver expert nursing care in the emergency department under supervision. The RN will coordinate patient care from infant to geriatric, emphasize patient-centered care, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure safety and quality.

Requirements include graduation from an approved nursing program, current Tennessee or compact RN license, BLS and ACLS (ACLS within 30 days if not certified on hire).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current Tennessee or Compact State RN license.

• Two years of hospital experience preferred.

The ER Nurse, under supervision of the Nurse Manager and the nursing supervisor is responsible for the nursing care of the patients in the emergency department and is responsible for the direction of patient care. The RN delivers care based on patient needs appropriate for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adults, and geriatric patients. He/she demonstrates an interest in patient centered approach to total nursing care. Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. The RN shall be responsible for planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care and policies.

Education:Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing as evidenced by verification of state licensure. Diploma preferred.

Experience:Two years of experience in a hospital or medical environment is preferred.

Licenses/Certificates:Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required. Current BLS and ACLS required. If not ACLS certified on hire, must acquire within 30 days.
