Job summary

Vitruvian Health is seeking an ER Nurse to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in the emergency department under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and nursing supervisor. The RN will care for patients of all ages and ensure the nursing process aligns with the medical plan of care and hospital policies.

Qualifications include graduation from an approved nursing program, active Tennessee or compact-state RN licensure, and BLS and ACLS on hire; PALS within six months.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of hospital or medical environment experience.
• Current Tennessee or Compact State RN license; BLS and ACLS required on hire; PALS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the emergency department for patients of all ages.

• Plan, supervise and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with physicians, visitors and hospital personnel.

The ER Nurse, under supervision of the Nurse Manager and the nursing supervisor is responsible for the nursing care of the patients in the emergency department and is responsible for the direction of patient care. The RN delivers care based on patient needs appropriate for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adults, and geriatric patients. He/she demonstrates an interest in patient centered approach to total nursing care. Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. The RN shall be responsible for planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care and policies.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing as evidenced by verification of state licensure.

Experience: At least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment preferred.

Licenses/Certificates: Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required. BLS and ACLS required upon hire. PALS within 6 months of assignment to the Emergency Department
