Job summary

Vitruvian Health in Tennessee is seeking an ER Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department. Under supervision of the Nurse Manager and nursing supervisor, you will assess and treat patients across all ages, coordinating with the care team.

The requirements include graduation from an approved nursing program, Tennessee RN license, and current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications; ACLS must be obtained within 30 days if not current.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Tennessee RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications; ACLS within 30 days if not current.
• Minimum two years of hospital or medical environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in the emergency department.

The ER Nurse, under supervision of the Nurse Manager and the nursing supervisor is responsible for the nursing care of the patients in the emergency department and is responsible for the direction of patient care. The RN delivers care based on patient needs appropriate for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adults, and geriatric patients. He/she demonstrates an interest in patient centered approach to total nursing care. Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. The RN shall be responsible for planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care and policies.

Education:Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing as evidenced by verification of state licensure. Diploma preferred.

Experience:Two years of experience in a hospital or medical environment is preferred.

Licenses/Certificates:Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required. Current BLS, PALS and ACLS required. If not ACLS certified on hire, must acquire within 30 days.

Free-Standing Emergency Room Experience preferred
