Job summary

Vitruvian Health is seeking an ER Nurse to deliver nursing care in the emergency department under supervision of the Nurse Manager. The RN will care for diverse patient populations, demonstrating patient-centered care, teamwork, and flexibility in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications include graduation from an approved nursing program, Tennessee or Compact State RN licensure, and current BLS, PALS, and ACLS. If ACLS/PALS are not held at hire, certification must be obtained within 30 days.

Position Overview

The ER Nurse, under supervision of the Nurse Manager and the nursing supervisor is responsible for the nursing care of the patients in the emergency department and is responsible for the direction of patient care. The RN delivers care based on patient needs appropriate for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adults, and geriatric patients. He/she demonstrates an interest in patient centered approach to total nursing care. Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. The RN shall be responsible for planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care and policies.

Position Qualifications

• Education: Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing as evidenced by verification of state licensure. Diploma preferred.
• Experience: Two years of experience in a hospital or medical environment is preferred.
• Licenses/Certificates: Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required. Current BLS, PALS and ACLS required. If not ACLS and PALS certified on hire, must acquire within 30 days. Free‑Standing Emergency Room Experience preferred.
