Job summary

Vitruvian Health in Tennessee is seeking an ER Nurse to provide compassionate care in the emergency department under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. You will deliver nursing care for infants through geriatrics, focusing on patient-centered care and collaboration with physicians and staff.

Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program with state licensure; two years hospital or medical environment experience preferred; Tennessee or Compact RN license required with BLS, PALS, and ACLS;

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing with state licensure.
• Two years of hospital or medical environment experience preferred.
• Tennessee or Compact State RN license required; BLS, PALS and ACLS required; ACLS must be acquired within 30 days if not certified.

Responsibilities

• The RN delivers care in the emergency department under supervision of the Nurse Manager and nursing supervisor.
• Plans, supervises and evaluates nursing care, correlating the nursing process with the medical plan of care and hospital policies.
• Demonstrates patient-centered care with cooperation, flexibility, and collaboration with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital staff.

The ER Nurse, under supervision of the Nurse Manager and the nursing supervisor is responsible for the nursing care of the patients in the emergency department and is responsible for the direction of patient care. The RN delivers care based on patient needs appropriate for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adults, and geriatric patients. He/she demonstrates an interest in patient centered approach to total nursing care. Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. The RN shall be responsible for planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care and policies.

Education: Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing as evidenced by verification of state licensure. Diploma preferred.

Experience: Two years of experience in a hospital or medical environment is preferred.

Licenses/Certificates: Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required. Current BLS, PALS and ACLS required. If not ACLS certified on hire, must acquire within 30 days. Free-Standing Emergency Room Experience preferred
