Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, seeks an RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput to lead staffing alignment, patient placement, and care coordination in a fast-paced ED. You will partner with physicians and care teams to remove barriers and ensure safe, efficient patient movement through the department.

Your leadership will optimize throughput, support clinical guidance, and enhance safety outcomes in moments of urgency, with emphasis on quality and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• RN licensure with the ability to obtain required certifications within stated timelines.
• Faculty of emergency department flow coordination and staffing alignment.
• Experience in patient placement, triage, transfers, and interprofessional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating patient placement, triage processes, EMS handoffs, and inpatient transfers
• Aligning staffing plans with patient volume, acuity, and department needs
• Monitoring delays in care transitions and collaborating on solutions
• Supporting safety priorities, experience initiatives, and quality outcomes
• Partnering with physicians, nurses, and care teams to remove barriers
• Providing clinical guidance, escalation support, and patient care when needed
