Job summary

Covenant Health in Tennessee is seeking a Registered Nurse Flow Coordinator for Fort Sanders Regional ED. This full-time role supports safe patient flow, delegates care with the ED team, and collaborates with physicians and hospital staff to optimize throughput and patient satisfaction.

The RN will coordinate patient placement, monitor room turnover, and ensure high-quality care across shifts, with leadership responsibilities and ongoing collaboration with the ED leadership team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years clinical nursing with at least 1 year in emergency services.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required.
• NIHSS and ESI triage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow and assign care in the ED.
• Lead ED care team and liaise with staff and physicians.
• Monitor ED room availability and throughput to ensure efficient care.
• Huddle with ED physician at shift start and during shift.
• Ensure safety and quality in patient care and timely documentation.
