Job summary

Mission Hospital in North Carolina seeks an RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput. You will align staffing, patient placement and clinical resources to move patients through the Emergency Department with clarity, safety and coordination.

As a leader, you will provide clinical guidance, escalation support, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and care teams to remove barriers and ensure high-quality care, even during urgent moments.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric CEU must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Bachelor's Degree, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree

Responsibilities

• Coordinating patient placement, triage processes, EMS handoffs, and inpatient transfers
• Aligning staffing plans with patient volume, acuity, and department needs
• Monitoring delays in care transitions and collaborating on solutions
• Supporting safety priorities, experience initiatives, and quality outcomes
• Partnering with physicians, nurses, and care teams to remove barriers
• Providing clinical guidance, escalation support, and patient care when needed
