Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina seeks an experienced RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput to optimize patient movement, align staffing with volume and acuity, and ensure safe, efficient care in a fast-paced emergency department.

You will lead coordination with physicians, nurses, and care teams, provide clinical guidance, monitor delays, and support safety and quality outcomes while maintaining focus on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Requires RN licensure.
• Bachelor's Degree, or work experience in lieu of degree.
• Advanced clinical leadership and care coordination experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating patient placement, triage processes, EMS handoffs, and inpatient transfers
• Aligning staffing plans with patient volume, acuity, and department needs
• Monitoring delays in care transitions and collaborating on solutions
• Supporting safety priorities, experience initiatives, and quality outcomes
• Partnering with physicians, nurses, and care teams to remove barriers
• Providing clinical guidance, escalation support, and patient care when needed
