Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC seeks an experienced RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput to ensure smooth patient movement through the Emergency Department with clinical support and thoughtful coordination. You will lead staffing, patient placement, and resource alignment to deliver organized, safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• RN, BSN or higher with hospital experience preferred.
• ACLS/BLS/ENPC and related certifications are required or obtained within specified timelines.
• Proven ability to coordinate ED flow, staffing and patient placement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient placement, triage, EMS handoffs, and transfers.
• Align staffing plans with patient volume and acuity in the ED.
• Monitor delays in care transitions and collaborate on solutions.
• Support safety, patient experience, and quality initiatives.
• Partner with physicians and care teams to remove barriers.
• Provide clinical guidance, escalation support, and direct patient care when needed.
