Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Patient Flow Coordinator to manage patient movement through the ED safely and efficiently. You will coordinate care activities and serve as a liaison with ED staff to ensure timely delivery of services.

Qualified candidates will be RNs with ED experience, Georgia licensure, and current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. A Bachelor’s in Nursing is preferred, and CEN is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program (Required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
• 1 year of Emergency Department experience as an RN (Required).
• Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects (Required).
• RN - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure (Required).
• BCLS - Basic Life Support (Required).
• ACLs (Required).
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Required).
• CEN - Certified Emergency Row Nurse (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator is responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner.
• This position will coordinate all patient care activities and be a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can be delivered in an efficient and safe manner.
• The Patient Flow Coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership and professionalism in the ED.
