CHI Mercy Health Valley City is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. You will assess, plan, and implement patient care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Requirements include ADN, ND RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS with TNCC within 12 months; BSN preferred and one year of experience is desirable. A $20,000 sign-on incentive is offered to eligible new hires.

Formación

• ADN required with ND RN licensure.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

What you'll do…

• Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements; initiates plan of care
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families
• Promotes patient’s independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions
• Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing division’s philosophies and standards of care set by board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations
• Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations

Job Requirements

Required

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of North Dakota (ND)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) to be obtained within 12 months

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• One (1) year in the discipline
