CHI Lisbon Health is a 20-bed Critical Access Hospital with a 24-hour Emergency Level V Trauma Center. It seeks an RN to deliver comprehensive patient care within an interdisciplinary team and to advance practice through ongoing education.

The role emphasizes compassionate, high-quality care for patient recovery and professional growth. Qualified candidates hold an ND RN license and BLS; willing to obtain PALS/ACLS/TNCC.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active North Dakota RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Willing to obtain PALS/ACLS/TNCC.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to address physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development; educate patients.
  • Delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel with clear direction and supervision.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues and support teamwork.
  • Self-reflect on practice and participate in peer review processes.

Responsibilities
  • Providing comprehensive patient care: Utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to ensure holistic care, including physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. This involves developing individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Continuous learning and professional development: Maintaining current nursing knowledge, participating in ongoing education, and educating patients.
  • Effective delegation and supervision: Appropriately delegating tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs), providing clear direction, support, and monitoring to ensure safe and reliable patient care.
  • Strong communication and teamwork: Communicating effectively with patients, families (especially during stressful times), and colleagues, and contributing positively to the work environment.
  • Self-reflection and accountability: Regularly evaluating one's own practice against professional standards, seeking feedback, and participating in peer review processes.

Job Requirements
Required
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Active North Dakota (ND) Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Dakota
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Willing to obtain PALS/ACLS/TNCC
Preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • ER experience
