Corewell Health – Big Rapids Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for night shift to provide high-quality care in a busy emergency department. You will apply the nursing process, assess patients, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate care.

The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and weekend rotation. Eligible for comprehensive benefits and on-demand pay options.

Qualifications

• Association's in nursing required and licensure in Michigan.
• Bachelor's in nursing preferred/required within the role timeline.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per ANA standards and Michigan regulations.
• Perform nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Big Rapids Emergency Department is a community-based hospital that is part of the Corewell Healthcare System. The Big Rapids ED is a certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center. There are 20 places to treat patients with minor to major medical and traumatic emergencies. Interdisciplinary team members collaborate closely to provide relationship-based care for our patients and their loved ones. Scope of Work

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate's in nursing
• Required Bachelor's in nursing
• Required within 5 years MI Registered Nurse (RN)
• Required AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
• Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) AHA required 6 months
• Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) AHA American Heart Association required 6 months
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) ENA Emergency Nurses Association required within 1 Year
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) ENA Emergency Nurses Association required within 1 Year
