Job summary

Westminster Decatur is seeking a Director of Resident Care, a registered nurse, to oversee resident care services and medication delivery in our assisted living community. The role directs staff to meet standards, enforces infection control, and participates in resident and family care conferences to ensure timely, compassionate care.

This leadership position requires strong clinical judgment, mentoring abilities, and clear communication to support residents, families, and caregivers.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN.
• Experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct staff to provide resident care that meets company and regulatory standards.
• Ensure infection control practices are in place and training completed.

Position summary

As the Director of Resident Care you are required to be a registered nurse and will be responsible for the oversight of all personal care services and medication delivery services to resident on a day-to-day basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct staff to provide quality and appropriate resident care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards.

• Ensure sound infection control practices are in place that promote a healthy environment and ensure all required infection control training is met.

• Participate in resident and family care conferences.

• Ensure that changes in resident conditions are evaluated, reported, monitored, and documented with follow up to assure interventions are implement4ed and documented.
