Carle Health is seeking an experienced RN for the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit, a 43-bed unit specializing in acute and chronic digestive surgical care. The role supports high-acuity patients with a 1:4–6 nurse-to-patient ratio and includes post-operative care, complex wound management, and ostomy care.

The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants, relocation assistance, and additional BSN bonus opportunities. Illinois RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) – Illinois
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days
• HS Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care to support the healthcare team.
• Completes initial admission assessment and develops an appropriate plan of care.
• Implements and adjusts care plans; ensures patient and employee safety.
• Collaborates with surgical residency services for optimal patient outcomes.
