Job summary

Westminster Lakeland in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care in the Health Center and supervise nursing assistants in accordance with state and federal standards. The role includes managing admissions/discharges, reviewing daily caseloads, and updating care plans while coordinating with the medical team.

Responsibilities cover daily skilled documentation, lab/x-ray follow-ups, and ensuring timely medication management.

Qualifications

Must hold an active Florida Registered Nurse license.
CPR certification required.
One year of long-term care experience is desirable.
Med-Surgical or Home Health experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to residents in the Health Center.
Supervise day-to-day nursing activities by nursing assistants.
Manage admissions and discharges on the day shift.
Review day case load with Med nurse and verify admission checks.
Document daily skilled care for Med A residents and liaise with physicians as needed.
Ensure labs, x-rays, and care plans are addressed and updated.
Assist with medication management and pharmacy deliveries.
Attend required meetings and support staffing needs, including weekends.
