Job summary

Lakeland Rehab and Healthcare Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants. The RN will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards as directed by the Director of Nursing to maintain high-quality care.

Responsibilities include directing nursing staff, admitting and transitioning residents, administering medications, and coordinating with other departments to maintain a warm, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and applicable regulations in care facilities.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Long term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required and report findings.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians.
• Maintain charging and charting accuracy in resident records.
• Provide leadership and coordinate with inter-departmental staff to ensure quality care.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and ensure privacy.
