Mission Community Hospital is seeking a House Supervisor for the Day Shift to provide leadership and operational oversight, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance across the hospital.

This full-time role directs staffing, supports nursing staff, coordinates patient flow, responds to emergencies, and partners with department leaders to maintain exceptional service and HIPAA compliance.

Competenze

• Current California RN license in good standing.
• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Minimum of three years of acute care nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Mansioni

• Provide clinical and operational leadership for hospital departments during the day shift.
• Serve as the administrative representative and resource for nursing and ancillary staff.
• Coordinate staffing assignments and adjust staffing levels based on patient census and acuity.
• Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to promote efficient patient flow.
• Respond to clinical emergencies, rapid responses, and Code Blue events as needed.
• Assist with conflict resolution involving patients, families, physicians, and staff.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety initiatives.
• Round on patient care units to monitor quality, safety, and staff support needs.
• Collaborate with department directors and physicians to resolve operational issues.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to nursing staff.
• Complete administrative reports, incident documentation, and shift summaries.
• Participate in quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards.
