Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, Tennessee seeks a Registered Nurse for the Day shift to provide quality patient care using the nursing process on the assigned unit. You will supervise other nursing staff and coordinate with other departments to promote continuity of care.

Responsibilities include initial assessments, care planning, medication administration, and discharge planning. Tennessee RN license, BLS, and ACLS/NRP within one year are required; ongoing CEUs are expected.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Tennessee required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/NRP within one year of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing processes and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Coordinate bedside care and supervise nursing staff on shift.
• Administer or supervise medications, IV fluids, and blood products.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, and families about care and discharge.
• Ensure proper documentation and participate in discharge planning.
