Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the MICU B unit, with a 36-hour night schedule and every other weekend. The role emphasizes patient-centered care within a Magnet® recognized organization renowned for trauma care and safety net services.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license, BLS, ACLS in relevant units, and a nursing degree with a pathway to BSN. You will join a supportive team focused on training, development, and advancement in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license or ability to obtain one
• 1+ year RN experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• ACLS required in certain units
• Diploma/ASN/BSN preferred; BSN within 4 years

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and their families
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects
