Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in New Jersey. The role focuses on delivering evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care and working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Requirements include NJ RN license, BLS/CPR within 60 days, ACLS, and 1 year of critical care or ED experience. BSN in progress or plan to obtain within 3 years is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in New Jersey is required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS certification is required.
• 1 year of critical care or ED nursing experience is required.
• BSN in progress and/or willingness to obtain BSN within 3 years of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly, strong accountability, teamwork, and ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care according to evidence-based practices and standards to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and the health care team about patient status and care plans.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document at the point of care for assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transitions of care.
