Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health’s Jersey Shore University Medical Center in New Jersey is hiring a Registered Nurse to deliver evidence-based care and coordinate patient needs across the health care team.

The role requires an active New Jersey nursing license, BLS/CPR and ACLS, plus at least two years in critical care or emergency department settings. BSN in progress is acceptable with commitment to completion within three years, and strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS required.
• 2 years of critical care or ED nursing experience required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Strong teamwork, accountability, and patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per evidence-based practices and standards.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and health care team.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document at the point of care for assessments, plans, and evaluations.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Assist in safe discharge planning and transition of care.
