Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA is seeking a dedicated RN to provide bedside care in the ICU and Emergency Department. You will collaborate with nursing staff to deliver patient-focused care using the nursing process and age-appropriate protocols.

Shifts are 12 hours with day, night, weekend and holiday rotation; 72 hours per pay period. Requirements include IA RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC; 1 year of Medical/Surgical or critical care experience; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• IA RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC required.
• One year of Medical/Surgical or critical care experience preferred; new grads encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in ICU and Emergency Departments using the nursing process.
• Assume responsibility for nursing outcomes during shift.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver total patient care.
• Follow age-related patient care protocols.

Position Highlights

Responsibilities

• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care in the ICU and Emergency Departments
• Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
• Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
• Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients

Requirements

• Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems
• IA RN license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC are required - inhouse education available upon hire
• One year of Medical/Surgical preferred or critical care experience
• New grads with a strong desire for critical care are encouraged to apply

Schedule

• 72 hours a pay period
• Day/Night/Weekend/Holiday Rotation
• 12 hour shifts 6:30-7
• The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
